This is frequently necessary when a customer has entered invalid characters (such as numbers or special symbols) into the name fields during registration or profile updates, which can subsequently prevent them from successfully logging in to their account.
Step-by-Step Procedure:
Access the Console
Navigate to the Users Section
Upon successful login, the initial screen displayed is the Dashboard. Locate and click on the primary box or tile that contains the count and link for the Users section.
Locate the Target User Account
You must now search for the specific user account that requires amendment.
Search Options: You can perform a search using the user's full email address or just a part of it.
Search Filtering: By default, the search box is configured to filter users based on their email address.
Expanding Search Criteria: If you need to search using alternative pieces of information, click on the small arrow located on the right side of the search bar. This will expand an additional menu allowing you to select different search criteria.
Open the User's Properties
To make any changes to the user's details, click on the Edit button.
Amend the Name Details
Correction: Remove/change the invalid character(s) that is causing the issue. (e.g., deleting "1" from the last name).Saving Changes: click the Save button to apply the changes to the user's profile.
The customer should now be able to log in.
